Patti Edwardson and George Naylor were joined in marriage the evening of June 3, 2017.
The ceremony took place on the Naylor farm in their new organic apple orchard. The Rev Bruce Espe, a friend of the groom and a Soto Zen Buddhist priest, officiated. All in attendance sang along with the selection of an old Shaker tune, “Tis a Gift to be Simple,” and a hymn from the Unitarian Universalist songbook, “Come Sing a Song with Me (that I might know your mind).”
About 40 friends and family members shared food, conversation, and the outdoor pleasures of an Iowa sunset.
George and Patti Naylor reside on the Naylor farm near Churdan.
